YAKIMA – Olive M. Wuertz, 74, Yakima, died Thursday, November 16, 1989 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mrs. Wuertz was born May 21, 1915 in Fort Rice, ND to Sherman and Eleanor (Clark) Suverly and was raised and educated there. Olive married Robert Wuertz in 1938 and the couple moved to Yakima in 1942. She retired in 1980 after being employed for 29 years at St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mrs. Wuertz was a member of St. Paul Cathedral Parish and the Mother Priests Guild.
She is survived by her son, the Reverend Richard Wuertz of Richland; and 2 brothers, William Suverly of Newberg, OR and Earl Suverly of Hebron, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wuertz, in 1967, as well as 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Monday, November 20, 1989 in St. Paul Cathedral. Concluding services and burial will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Saturday and from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm Sunday, November 18 and 19th in the Keith & Keith 9th Ave. Funeral Home Chapel.
