She was united in marriage to Frank Jeremiah at Eminence,MO and to this union seven children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Vincent Carr; one daughter Virginia Massie; four brothers, four sisters, and two great grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, William E. Jeremiah of West Jefferson, NC; and Glenn D. Jeremiah of West Plains, MO; three daughters, Doris Knuckles of Poplar Bluff, MO; Betty Rader of West Plains, MO; and Vivian Powell of Bunker, MO; two brothers, Ralph Williams and Brook Williams both of Ellington, MO; two sisters, Meda Brawley of St. Louis, MO; and Mae Rayfield of Ellington, Mo; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
Janie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eminence where she had attended most of her life. She has lived in Eminence most of her life until she entered the nursing home 2 1/2 years ago. She had made many friends in the Eminence area during her life.
She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
Funeral Services were held Monday June 21, 1993 at 1 pm at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Eminence with Rev. Alan Stringer officiating.
Interment will be in the New Eminence Cemetery under the direction of the Duncan Funeral Home of Eminence
