Vivian Joann Powell daughter of the late Frank Jeremiah and Janie Williams Jeremiah was born on Current River in Shannon County, Missouri, on May 24, 1935. She departed this life at Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem, Missouri, on October 18, 2022, at the age of 87.

On January 5, 1954 in Fulton County, Arkansas, Vivian was united in marriage to Gordon Dale Powell and to this union two sons were born. He preceded her in death on February 11, 2019. Vivian was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunker. Her hobbies included talking on the phone, going to church and visiting with family and friends.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Bill Jeremiah and infant Vincent Carl Jeremiah, three sisters, Ginger Mae Howard, Doris Irene Knuckles and Betty Rader and one great-grandson, Seth Barnhill.

Vivian is survived by two sons, Richard Powell and wife Janice of Bunker; Bruce Powell and wife Patty of Salem; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one brother, Sonny Jeremiah of West Bend, Wisconsin. Vivian will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.

Graveside service for Vivian Joann Powell was October 21, 2022 at Eminence Cemetery, with Pastor Tom Wisdom officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of McSpadden Funeral Home, Bunker.
