Virgil C. Williams, son of the late Charlie and Ona Williams, was born at Corridon on Sept. 13, 1891. He departed this life at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia on April 29, 1984. He was 93 years of age.

He was married to Lulu Alice Knuckles in 1920. She preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 1935.

Those surviving him are his 11 children, Oneita Sutherland of Naturita, Colo., Jesse Paul Williams of Edgnar, Colo., Roy E. Williams of Bunker, Jewell Narramore and Floyd Williams, both of Naturita, Colo., Moleane Borenz of Rogers, Ark., Gerald Williams of Ellington, Williard Williams of Decatur, Ark., Denver McCabe of Marion, KY., Wilma Phillips of Letts, Iowa, and Christene Sanders of Salem; 66 grandchildren; numerous great-and great great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Nola Patterson of Birchtree, Otho Williams of Bellview, Janie Jeremiah of Eminence, and Meda Brawley, Mae Rayfield, Brooks Williams and Ralph Williams, all of Ellington.

Brothers and sisters who are deceased are Robert and George Williams and Dora Lee and Lillie Ferguson.

Williams was baptized about 1930 at the Simpson Church House located at Blair's Creek.

Funeral services were conducted by Elder Noel Meade at the Pewitt Chapel in Ellington on May 1, 1984. Burial was in the Memorial Cemetery.
