OBITUARY Iron County Reporter May 29 2002 "Obituaries: Mae Peterson"
CASPIAN-Mae Peterson, 84, of 100 Spring Valley, died May 20 at her home.
She was born May 25, 1917 in Gaastra, the daughter of the late Charles and Hilda (Petersen) Peterson. She graduated from the Stambaugh High School in 1934 and had continued to make her home in Gaastra until moving to the Spring Valley Apartments in Caspian. For most of her working career, she had been employed as a sales clerk in local grocery stores. She had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Iron River. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Arthur, William, Edward, Arvid and Irving Peterson; and two sisters, Mildred Battye and Ann Friestrom.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with the wishes of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services.
Burial will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
Langenberg Funeral Home-Stambaugh Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
