TEWKSBURY - George J. Bartlett 61 a well known resident of this community died Saturday morning at Lowell General Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Boston, March 4, 1925, the son of the late Alexander and and the late Gretta (Keating) Bartlett but had been a Tewksbury resident since 1952.
He was employed as an electrician at Wang's Pawtuket Plant, but he had been a general foreman at Revere Sugar Co, for many years.
He was a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge No. 2070, and a communicant of St. Williams Church.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor Lee (Cocco) Bartlett; one daughter Mrs. Ernst (Jean) Uebel of Antrim, N.H; one son Albert J. Bartlett of Pelham; a aughter in law, Barbara (Bechard) Bartlett; four grandchildren and one great grand child. Mr. Bartlett was also the brother of the late Albert J. Jensen, and Walter B. Jensen.
