Albert J. Jensen was born on November 6 1920 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of Mr. Albert J. Jensen, and Mrs. Gretta M. (Keating) Bartlett. He was the stepson of Mary Louise "Rena" Baker Jensen and Alexander Bartlett. He was raised in the Boston area before moving with his family to Vermont, where he enlisted in the Army during World War II. After enlisting he was put in the 70th Tank Battalion. Mr. Jensen was killed on June 6th 1944 during the D-Day invasions on the Normandy Coast in France. The ship he was on had hit an undetected mine in the water and blew up. He was Killed in Action, and his body was first found by the Nazi's and buried in the in an unmarked grave, his body was latter retrieved and interned in the American Cemetery in Normandy France, which was shown in the well known movie Saving Private Ryan. Mr. Jensen was the full brother of Mr. Walter B. Jensen, and half brother of Mr. Richard A. Jensen, and Mr. George J. Bartlett. Mr. Jensen was the Uncle of Bernard A. Jensen, Richard W. Jensen, Susan (Jensen) Cezanne, Albert J. Bartlett and Jean (Bartlett) Uebel. He also has numerous Great Nieces and Nephews, and Great Great Nieces and Nephews.
