Rabalais, 52, of Angola died at 2 a.m. Friday in Baton Rouge General Hospital, Baton Rouge.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, an employee of Louisiana State Penitentiary and a former resident of Simmesport.
Survivors include his wife, Dora G. Rabalais of Angola; one son, John Maurice Rabalais of Angola; his mother, Minnie Rabalais of Simmesport; four brothers, Edward Rabalais of Alaska, and Fredie Paul Rabalais, Charles Rabalais and Jeffrey Rabalais, all of Simmesport; and three sisters, Leona Jeansonne, Della Adams and Catherine Clark, all of Simmesport.
Friends may call until time of services today in the church hall.
