SIMMESPORT - Services for Ferdie Paul Rabalais, Sr. were at 11:00 a.m., Tues., Jan. 18, 2000 in Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Daniel Corkey officiating. Military services were conducted by Cenla Honor Guard. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Escude Funeral Home, Simmesport.
Mr. Rabalais, 68, of Simmesport, died at 5:00 p.m., Sun., Jan. 16, 2000 at Veterans Affairs Hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1931, a native of Simmesport, son of Leo and Minnie Rabalais.
Survivors include wife, Bernice L. Rabalais of Simmesport; two sons, Ferdie P. Rabalais, Jr. and Christopher J. Rabalais both of Simmesport; two daughters, Norma Adams of Simmesport and Jackie Bonnette of Marksville; one brother, Edward Rabalais of Barrows, Alaska; three sisters, Della Adams, Kathryn Clark and Leona Jeansonne all of Simmesport; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bruce Adams, Jeffrey Clark, Peter Ray Guillot, Johnny Ray Jeansonne, Michael Rabalais, Adam Schrock and Ronald Williams.
