Mr. Henry Grady Butler, a retired farmer, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Oak Woods Home for the Elderly in Mer Rouge at the age of 89.
Mr. Butler was born September 4, 1926 in Mer Rouge, Louisiana to the late William Butler and Mae Laing Bulter.
He was a lifelong resident of Mer Rouge and a member of the Mer Rouge Baptist Church. Mr. Butler was known for his strong work ethic and his love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Carlos Butler and Mae Laing Butler;
his wife and the mother of his children,Cora Butler;
wife, Vergie Pollard Butler;
and a daughter, Cora Sue Butler.
He family will receive friends Friday, April 1, 2016 beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 2nd, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home with Reverends Ron Vollmar and Jerry Stuckey officiating.
