Mrs. [Ottilia] Kabat, wife of Mr. Wenzel Kabat, died last Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock after a long illness. She had struggled against the dread disease consumption for years and her death has been not unexpected. Deceased was born in 1876, and was married in 1898, and has lived with her husband since then on his farm near our city. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Miller. She is survived by one child, three years, and her husband. Her kind and motherly character, and her patience and fortitude in suffering endeared her to all who knew her, and the funeral which was held last Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church, Kasson, was a large one, many friends and neighbors assembling to pay the last tribute of love to the memory of the departed dead.
