~Pastor’s Relative Dies After Stroke~

A paralytic stroke, the second suffered within a year, resulted in the sudden death of Michael Miller at the Catholic parsonage Wednesday evening. The end came after he finished helping his wife with the dishes and sat down in a rocking chair.

Mr. Miller is a brother-in-law of the Rev. William Kraemer, pastor of the Immaculate Conception church here (Algoma, Wisconsin). The Rev. Kraemer’s sister, Mr. Miller’s wife was employed as a housekeeper at the parsonage.

The effects of a paralytic which he suffered about a year ago left Mr. Miller in ill health, and he arrived here to make his home in retirement this spring. He was born at Brillion June 24, 1868, and died in his fifty-sixth year. Until 1909 he owned a store at Brillion, and later moved to Milwaukee to be employed as a street car conductor. He held this position until illness compelled him to leave his job.

The Rev. William Kraemer united his sister and Mr. Miller in marriage at Reedsville in June 1894.

A solemn high mass will be recited by the Rev. Kraemer at the funeral which is to be held at the church of the Immaculate Conception Saturday morning at 9:30. Burial will be made in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Mr. Miller leaves as survivors his father, Joseph Miller, his wife, Mrs. Mary Miller, Algoma, and two brothers, John and Kosmas, and two sisters, Mrs. John Kleiber and Miss Theresa Miller, all of Brillion.
