DOROTHY CONLEY, age 71, of LaOtto, died on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Garrett, Kentucky, on January 29, 1936 to Crit and Maggie (Bradley) Handshoe. She married Bennie Conley on December 15, 1951 in Fremont, Indiana and he preceded her death on October 16, 1998. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, nature and wildlife. She attended Grace Christian Church in Kendallville.

Survivors include: Son, Jerry and Clidia Conley of Kendallville; Son, Jeff and Latesa Conley of Kendallville; Daughter, Mary and Daryl Mitchell of LaOtto; Daughter, Barbara Bowman of LaOtto; Daughter, Elizabeth and Nick Weber of Avilla; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; Sister, Glenna and G.C. Johnson of LaOtto; Sister, Antha and John Bailey of Auburn; Sister, Delphi Miller of Brimfield and Brother, Garman Handshoe of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Ruth Bailey, Julie Conley, and Edith Cook and 3 brothers, Pard, Arnold, and Garnel Handshoe.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2007, from 3:00-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 9, 2007 at 1:30pm at Hite Funeral Home. Burial will be at Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Preferred Memorials may be made to Noble County Humane Shelter Casketbearers will be Nate Mitchell, Jason Weber, Justin Weber, Jared Conley, Chad Conley, Lonnie Conley and Gary Long.
