Stella Allen Craven, 81, of Foster Street, Asheboro, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at Clapp's Nursing Home, Asheboro. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holly Spring Friends Meeting, where she was a member, with the Rev. Ricky Sessoms and the Rev. Leslie Winslow officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Randolph County and retired from Bossong Hosiery after 38 years. Surviving are son, Ricky Craven of Asheboro; brother, Quentin Allen of Asheboro; sisters, Patti Craven and Nadine Moffitt, both of Ramseur, Gertie Lee Dark, Dorcas Edwards, Cloyce Moon and Rebecca Powell, all of Asheboro; two grandchildren. The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, other times at the home of the son, 488 Foster St., Asheboro.
