Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Dorcas was a native of Randolph County, retired from Kayser Roth and a member of the Mountian of Faith Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Eli Clarkston and Mishie McNeill Allen, husband, James "Jack" Edwards, brother, Quentin Allen, sisters, Daphna Newlin, Stella Craven, Gertie Lee Dark, and Cloyce Moon.
Survivors: daughter, Nancy E. Cox, and husband, Perry, of Erect, son, Larry Allen Edwards, and wife, Debra, of Apex, sisters, Nadine Moffitt, of Ramseur, Patti Craven, Rebecca Powell, both of Asheboro, grandchildren, Leann Barnes, and husband, Scott, of Greenville, SC., Melinda Parker, and husband, Ryan, of Cary.
