Gertie Lee Allen Dark, 82, of 4443 Alamance Road, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at her home. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Holly Spring Friends Meeting, with the Rev. James Moon and the Rev. Garry Reeder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a native of Randolph County, a retired employee of Black & Decker and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Surviving are husband, Samuel Bryant Dark; daughters, Sharon Brown and Karen Dickson, both of Burlington; brother, Quentin Allen of Asheboro; sisters, Cloyce Moon, Dorcas Edwards and Rebecca Powell, all of Asheboro, Patty Craven of Ramseur, Nadine Moffitt of Coleridge. Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, is in charge of arrangements.
