Services were held October 12 at the First Baptist Church for Jack Hestily; 67, of Colbert. Rev. Burney Cope and Rev. Stephen Warren officated. Burial was in the Colbert Cemetery under the direction of Coffey Funeral Home.
Mr. Hestily passed away October 10, 1983 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born October 29, 1915 at Rosebud, Arkansas. He was a farmer-rancher; member of the Colbert First Baptist Church. the VFW and a former member of the Colbert School Board.
He married Syble Hartwell, November 22, 1959 at Bonham, Texas.
Survivors include: wife, Syble of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Kathryn Hodge of Idabel, Oklahoma; two stepsons James Hodge of Idabel Oklahoma and Jerry Hodge of Colbert; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Glenda Riddle of Denison; three brothers, Burl, of Colbert, Ed of Stigler, and Buck of Los Angeles; four sisters, Clara Garrett and Ollie Lasater of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Katie Jones of Sherman and Edna Hannan of Colbert. seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild .

Pallbearers were Bill Head, Bill Sims, Dale Gage, Johnny Jackson, Fred Rice and Deward Love.
Honorary Pallbearers were C.K.Davidson, Burton McCarley, Howard McCarley, C.F.Howard, Gordon Murray, Clarence Stubblefield, Hoyt Winnett and Ollie Weger.
