Services for Edna Faye Hannan, 87, of Colbert, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Aug 5 at the Colbert First Baptist Church. The Rev. Ronnie Harris will officiate.
The daughter of the late Henry H. and Ester Catherine Nunn Hestily, Mrs. Hannan was born July 18, 1908, in Bigelow,Arkansas. She died Thursday, August 3, 1995 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.
She married Talmage Hannan Sr. in Calera on Dec. 20,1933. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1970. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Burl, Ed, and Jack Hestily, and by one sister, Bessie Owen.
Surviviors include one son and daughter-in-law, Talmage and Retha Hannan of Colbert; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jan and Clint Lyde and Joan Turner, all of Colbert. A brother, Buck Hestily of Los Angeles, California; three sisters, Ollie Lasater of Calera, Katie Jones of Sherman, Texas and Clara Garrett of Tempe, Arizona; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deacons of Colbert First Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery, in Colbert.
