Service is set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the graveside in Colbert cemetery for Bessie Owen, 76, a longtime resident of Colbert. Mrs. Owen died Monday in a Denison hospital.
Frank Taylor will officiate. Coffey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs.Owen was born in Dixie, Arkansas, August 9, 1905, the daughter of Henry and Katy Hestily.
She and her late husband, Hassell moved to Oklahoma in the 1930's.
Survivors include a son John H. Owen, Colbert; two daughters Kathy Smith and Wilma Witte, both of Colbert; four brothers Burl Hestily and Jack Hestily, both of Colbert, Ed Hestily, Stigler, Oklahoma and Buck Hestily of Los Angeles, California; Four sisters Edna Hannan, Colbert, Katie Jones and Ollie Lasater, both of Sherman, Texas, Clara Garrett, Casa Grande, Arizona; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
