At Centralia

Vincent B. Halford, long time resident of the Bingham community, passed away early Sunday morning, Jan. 16, 1938 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lottie Smith, in Centralia, says the Hillsboro Journal. At the time of his death he was 84 years, 9 months and 22 days old.

Mr. Halford had been seriously ill for several weeks, and F. A. Donaldson had been assisting in his care the past week. Last May he went to Centralia to make his home with his daughter and her family. His wife died a number of years ago.

Surviving children are Mrs. Smith of Centralia; James, and Torrence Halford and Mrs. Henry Cook, all of the Bingham community. There are two half-brothers and a half-sister, Elijah Halford and Mrs. Jeannette Cole of Bingham and Homer Halford who resides in northern Illinois.

Funeral services were held at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Halford Chapel, north of Bingham, and burial was made in the Halford cemetery.
