Funeral rites for Mrs. Melissa Coffeen, 77, Brothertown, who passed away last Thursday afternoon at the Mercy Hospital, Milwaukee, following a short illness were held here Monday at the Erbe-Hoffmann Funeral Home and at the Trinity Presbyterian church. Rev. Wm. Ros officiated and burial was made in the Hillside cemetery.

Born Oct. 23, 1867, in Brothertown, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Baker Sr. She was united in marriage to George Coffeen of Brothertown Oct. 10, 1886. Mr. Coffeen passed away in December 1918.

Survivors are three children; Oliver of Chilton; Mrs. Laura Jacobi, Milwaukee, and Earl of Cumberland, Wis. One son, Edgar preceded her in death. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Clara Kiefer, Chilton and Mrs. Della Severin, Chicago; 2 brothers, Will Baker, Sheboygan, and Frank Baker, Fond du Lac; also several nieces and nephews.
