William Baker, 72, of 1101 Clara avenue, a retired town of Brothertown farmer, died Friday noon at Sheboygan Memorial hospital after a lingering Illness.
Born July 15, 1877, at Brothertown, the son of George and Julia Coyles Baker, he attended district schools and on Feb. 21, 1903, was married to Mary Wendel at Charlesburg.
The couple resided on the Baker homestead farm near Chilton until 1941 when they moved to Sheboygan to make their home. Mrs. Baker died last Feb. 3.
Survivors are five sons, Oscar, Hager city, Wis., Walter of Kiel, Archie and Herbert, Milwaukee, and George. Pepin, Wis.; six daughters, Mrs. John (Katherine) Lavey, and Mrs. Joseph (Alma) Bodinger, Sheboygan, Mrs. William (Margaret) Reese and Mrs. Ray (Jean) Peske, Milwaukee, Mrs. John (Irene) Lukic, San Antonio. Tex., and Mrs. Russell (Mae) Hall. Appleton, and two sisters, Mrs. Adolph Kieffer, Chilton, and Mrs. Belle Severin. Chicago:
One daughter died in Infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral home. Chilton, with the Rev. Mr. Gerber, pastor of the Ebenezer Evangelical and Reformed .church, officiating Burial will be in the Hillside cemetery at Chilton. The body will lie in state at the funeral home after noon Sunday.
