James Luther Stanley was the son of Valentine Chapman Stanley and Rebecca Mingus.
He married Angeline Horton around 1864, and they had at least seven children, all born in PA:

JAMES STANLEY
James Stanley, aged 89 years, the oldest resident of East Brady, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James Johnson, of Grant street, East Brady, at 6:30 o'clock Friday evening, March 11, 1932. Death was due to infirmities of age. He was a natice of Ohio.
His wife died 12 years ago. He is survived by the following children, Charles and Frank Stanley and Mrs. James Johnson, of East Brady, Ralph Stanley, of Youngstown; Mrs. J. C. Yount, of Holidays Cove, W. Va.
Funeral Services were conducted at the home of the daughter Sunday afternoon and interment was in Bradys Bend cemetery.
