Pearl Copen, 56, of Parkersburg, died Friday, March 7, in St. Joseph's Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Wirt County January 27, 1913, she was a daughter of Mrs. Laura Copen and the late Charley Copen.
Survivors in addition to her mother are two sons, Gene Copen, Rt. 2, Elizabeth and Kenneth Lee Copen, Parkersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Flinn, Elizabeth, Mrs. Helen Pifer and Mrs. Madge Bird, both of Parkersburg; three brothers, Vernon Copen, Parkersburg, John Copen, Marietta, O, and Harold Copen, Tallmadge, O.; and two grandchildren, Mike and Jeff Copen.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Bethel Methodist Church on Elizabeth Hill, with the Rev. Joe Snyder officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The McCray Funeral Home, was in charge of arrangements.
