RUTH (BUBOLZ) NICHOLAUS

Ruth (Bubolz) Nicholaus, age 85, resident of Lake Forest, Ill. for 60 years, was called to her eternal rest on Jan. 13, 2002.
She was the loving wife of the late Dr. Herbert A. Nicholaus and mother of deceased, beloved son D. Alan Nicholaus.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Lorraine Nicholaus; grandson, Bret Nicholaus (wife-Christina); and great-grandson, Grant Alan. She also has two surviving sisters-in-law, Lillian Bubolz and Malinda Bubolz; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her sisters Hildagard J. Maertz and Sophie Bubolz; and brothers, Raymond, Harvey and Henry Bubolz.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Glencoe, Ill; member of the Lake Forest Womens Club for 57 years; past-president of the Parent-Teacher Association; member of the League of Women Voters; The Enore Club; The Widows Outreach Network of Lake County Organization (honorary member); and member of the 50-50 Social Club.
She served as advisor of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority for many years and was past-president of the Lake Forest College Campus Circle Faculty wives. She enjoyed playing bridge with many of her friends.
Visitation will be had at the Wenban Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 3 to 9 p.m., and the church service will be at Faith Lutheran Church, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at 680 West Deerparth Road in Lake Forest. Memorial contribution given to the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Senior Center, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045, would be greatly appreciated.
A Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 at St. John and St.James Lutheran Cemetery in Reedsville, Wis.
