May 21, 1895, at the age of 55.
(Joseph served in the Civil War,
in Company A, 6th Michigan Infantry),
and one is for her mother,
Amelia ("Emma") Chevrie (1838-1918).

in Westwood, Lassen Co. California.

in Niles, Michigan, on
April 2, 1946, page 2.
It reads as follows:

Funeral services for Mrs. Etta J. Harroff,
74, long-time resident of this vicinity
who died last Saturday in Westwood, Calif.,
will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the
Latter Day Saints church here (Galien).
The Rev. George Seymour, Buchanan, will
officiate and burial will be in the Galien
cemetery.
Mrs. Harroff's body arrived at the
Kenney-Connelly funeral home here
Thursday night from Calif. Accompanying
the body were her son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur GEBERT,
with whom she resided in Westwood, Calif.
The Rebekah lodge of Glendora,
of which Mrs. Harroff had been a member
for 30 years, will conduct the committal
ritual at the grave. Friends may call at
the funeral home until 1:00 p.m. Sarurday.

Born April 1, 1871, in Galien Township, she lived most of her life in this vicinity. She married Lansing Barber, June 7, 1890, and he preceded her in death on April 20, 1909. On June 10, 1910, she married J. W. Harroff, who died September 26, 1944. A daughter, Olive, died April 5, 1935. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Amelia Marie Barber Gebert of Westwood, Calif.; a stepson, Jack Harroff of Buchanan; a sister, Mrs. Alice E. Bremer of Galien; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Harroff was a member of the Glendora Rebekah Lodge for 30 years. The body will be brought to Galien for burial. Funeral arrangements are incomplete."
