WILLIAM BEATTY
ROMNEY — William Henry Beatty, 82, of RD 1, Burlington, died Monday at Hampshire Memorial Hospital.
He was a son of the late John and Sarah (Haines) Beatty. His wife, Hannah S. (Poland) Beatty, preceded him in death.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Minnie Loy, Mrs. Emma Biser, Mrs. Marshall Staggs and Miss Mary Beatty, Burlington and Mrs. Bessie Leatherman, Keyser; six sons, Marvin Beatty, Bayse, Va.; Thomas Beatty, Mountain Home, Idaho; Joseph Beatty, Anandale, Va.; Russell and Welby Beatty, Keyser, and Richard Beatty, Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. John H. Maphis and Mrs. George F. Messick,
here; a brother, Raymond Beatty, here; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Shaffer Funeral Home where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p. m.
A service will be conducted there tomorrow at 2 p.m. by Rev. J. E. Harriet. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
