Anna Whitehouse was born Ane Kirstina Andersdatter to Anders Jenssen and Ane Olsdatter in Hegra/Ovre Stjordal/Nord-Trondelag, Norway. She came to America in 1876.She would used Anna Christina Johnson as her name before marriage. The 'Johnson' name is from her dad's 'Jenssen'. 'Jens' often changed to 'John' in America. Although Anna and her sister, Sarah(Sigrid) would use 'Johnson', their parents and brothers would use 'Berg' as their last name. This was a name that was shortened from 'Stageberg' which was the name of the last farm they had lived on in Norway before emigrating over. As the informant on two of her children's death records, she gives her maiden name as Anna Berg.
Anna's first husband, Albert died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis in 1902. She married Lafayette Whitehouse, a widower, in 1903.
Her only children were from her first marriage and all three died before having any children. Thus, there are no descendants of the family line of Anna Christine. Couple photo is of Anna and Albert Kersey
