Mrs. Amanda Phillips Casselman died at her home, Feb. 4.
She was born in Lake township, October 11, 1850, and was 74 years old. In 1872 she married Horace Casselman who survives her.
To them were born eight children, six of whom survive, one son, Harry of Benton Harbor, and five daughters, Mrs. Birdie Landon of Decatur, Mrs. Iva Mead, Mrs, Katie Berby, Mrs. Gertrude Critzer and Mrs. Lettie Nelson all of this place, 2 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mrs. Casselman had suffered with paralysis since December 28, 1924. She had resided in this vicinity all of her life. Funeral services were held at Mt. Taber church on Friday afternoon at two o'clock.
The Rev. F. P. Sprague of the Baroda Congregational church officiated delivering a message of sympathy to the bereaved family. Mrs. S.E. Marsh and Mrs Anna Lucker of Berrien Springs sang three selections, Miss Mildred Marsh playing the accompaniment. There were many beautiful floral tributes.
Eight neighbors were pallbearers. William Upson, Jack Hartline, Moss Harner. William Gess, George Harner and David Hartline. Interment was in the Hinman cemetery.
Among the relatives who attended the services were Harry Casselman, his son Roy and wife of Benton Harbor, Mrs. Russell Morrison of Ann Arbor and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Landon and family of Glenwood, Mich.
