A.A. Batman Died Yesterday
A. A. Batman, 91 years of age, passed away at 1:30, after heaving been in the hospital for treatment following an operation Sunday morning a 9 o'clock for prostate gland trouble.
Mr. Batman suffered intensely during the time following his operation, but was conscious up to within a short time of his death.
Arval Allen Batman was born near Salem, Washington county, Indiana, May 25, 1866 and came to Nevada in October when he was one and a half years of age, where he lived continuously until the time of his death.
He married Jeanette Duff on June 31, 1894 and to this union seven children were born. Mrs. Batman passed away May 7, 1915 and since that time Mr. Batman kept his family together at their home up to the date of his death.
The children are left to mourn the passing of a kind and loving father are Dean Batman of Colo, Mrs. Milton Thompson of Forest City, Miss Helen Batman of Omaha, Mrs. John J. Fike of Omaha, Donald Batman of Nevada and the twins Frank and Fred Batman of Nevada.
He also leaves a sister Miss C. Anna Batman of Lincoln, Nebraska and two brothers, Frank Batman of Ames C. A. Batman of Nevada.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from Central Presbyterian church after which interment will be made in the Nevada cemetery.
