Henry Barrett, 85, Dies in Hospital

Henry Barrett, 85, of Colchester died Saturday in McDonough District Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Jone's Mortuary. The Rev. Ray Nowlin will officiate with burial in White Oak Cemetery in Schuyler County.

He was born Feb. 8, 1884 in Kansas, the son of Arthur and Lydia Hess Barrett.

He came to Astoria when he was a small child and has lived in the Macomb area most of his life.

He was a retired kiln burner at the Colchester Brick and Tile.

He is survived by a brother, Albert Barrett of Industry and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Beckman and Mrs. Ethel Johnson, both of Spokane, Wash.

Preceding him in death were five brothers, Charles, Enos, Arthur, Lewis and John Barrett ; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Butterfield, Mrs. Mary Plank, and Mrs. Caroline Curtis ; and two infant sisters and one infant brother.

Friends may call at the funeral home anytime after 10 a.m. today.
