KIOWA - Robert "Bob" A. Brown, 77, passed away on November 2, 2011 at the Kiowa Hospital District Manor. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Kiowa, Ks. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
Bob was born in Jefferson County, Missouri on July 13, 1934 to Berton Asher Brown and Hazel Mildred Leeper Brown. He graduated high school in Auburn, Washington and worked as an independent salesman for insurance and advertising. In 2009 he came to Kiowa to be near his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents: wife, Chieko: two sisters, Anna May Spalding and husband, Bob, and Dora Chapman.
He is survived by six children; Robert Brown and wife, Cindy of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Vickie Deag of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Pam Parr of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Anna Seiden and husband, Dwight of Tyler, Texas, Chantae Simpson and husband Roger of Kiowa, Kansas, James Burke and wife, Peggy of Dunnellon, Florida, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Rodgers Brown and wife, Patty of Mississippi.
