Daughter of Daniel Youngs and Catherine Brown, baptized on January 5, 1784 together with her sisters, Pollie and Hittie, by the Rev. John Storrs of the First Church, Southold, NY, wife of James Howell, whom she married about 1794 in Riverhead, NY, and mother of Youngs, Nancy (married Daniel Terry), Catherine (married Scudder Terry), James, Reeves, Daniel Brown, Eliza, Harriet Atwood (married David Brewster Bayles), Deborah Roe (married Joel L'Hommedieu), Edmund Wheeler, and Richard Oakley Howell.
