I have done extensive research on my own family tree and have spent many hours searching small cemeteries in upstate NY for relatives. I enjoy the quiet and solitude of cemeteries along with the thrill of finally finding the stone you have been searching for. I have frequently relied on research that others have done before me and I believe it is important to repay the contributions forward to fellow researchers and family members in search of ancestors.
Lately I have been spending most of my time at Calverton National Cemetery filling requests and working towards driving up the percentage of photographed headstones and ground plaques. With over 225,000 yet to be documented photographically, there is plenty to do!
If you would like an original copy of any photo request that I upload please feel free to contact me with your email address. You may also use any uploaded photo without asking for my permission. Although infrequent, I will add any memorial that I find was not uploaded to Find A Grave and am more than willing to turn control over to a relative if asked.
