Bio

Reluctantly, I have stopped trying to respond to every "thank you" I receive each week. Believe me that I truly appreciate each and every one of them even though I didn't start doing this for any recognition. However, I found that I was spending too much time trying to respond to each email with some form of "You're very welcome!" as I had to wait several minutes between each email before the FAG server would accept a new one. I have been trying to take that time to edit and upload a larger number of requests instead. To all of you who have appreciated and hopefully will continue to appreciate my contributions, you're very welcome! I truly enjoy doing this and I get to help people out at the same time....win-win! Calverton National continues to be my focus with over 210,000 unphotographed memorials (73%).

I have done extensive research on my own family tree and have spent many hours searching small cemeteries in upstate NY for relatives. I enjoy the quiet and solitude of cemeteries along with the thrill of finally finding the stone you have been searching for. I have frequently relied on research that others have done before me and I believe it is important to repay the contributions forward to fellow researchers and family members in search of ancestors. I decided that being a photo contributor was an ideal way for me to do that.

My family tree names include McGee, Kollar, Crawford, Juriga, and Krauss. Most of my ancestors lived in the western NY, southern tier NY, and Wilkes-Barre PA areas. If you think you might be a relative please feel free to drop me a line!

If you would like an original copy of any photo request that I upload please feel free to contact me with your email address. You may also use any uploaded photo without asking for my permission although credit would be appreciated if published.

Although infrequent, I will add any memorial that I find was not uploaded to Find A Grave and am more than willing to turn control over to a relative if asked as long as I'm not a closer relative.
