Esther Rose Thrasher, 96, passed away May 26, 2012, at Hospice House of Reno County. She was born Nov. 5, 1915, in Dundee, Kan., the daughter of Henry and Katherine Schroeder.
She was a cook by trade and a loving mother and friend to all. In April of 1936, she married Benjamin Thrasher. He preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1984. She is survived by daughters, Sherry Bowman, Carolyn Price, Karen Bertrand, Linda Settles, Marieta Thrasher; sons, Gary Wayne Thrasher and Clifford Thrasher; two sisters, Alice Miller and Ethyl Dills; two brothers, Bethel Schroeder and Howard Schroeder; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and nine brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Fairlawn Burial Park with Tim Yates presiding. There will be no public visitation. Old Mission-Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.
