{{ Henry H. Schroeder, 509 1/2 Odell died at the St. Rose Hospital Tuesday evening, where he had been a patient for three days. He was 72 years old.
The funeral services will be held Friday, at 1p.m. at the Cook and Weaver Funeral Home, and 2:30 at the Mennonite Church north of Pawnee Rock, with burial in the Mennonite Cemetery. The Rev. Victor Sawatzky will be in charge of the services.
Henry Schroeder was born in Russia and came to the United States when he was 2 years old, and until he retired several years ago he was engaged in farming near Dundee.
He is survived by his wife, Katie of the home, and fourteen children: seven sons; Harvey and Willard of Wichita, John of Heizer, Myron and Bethel of Turlock, Calif., Howard of Garfield, and Lee of Great Bend, and seven daughters, Edna, Mrs. Chris Ruat, Great Bend; Opal, Mrs. Fred Denny, Great Bend; Doris, Mrs. J.W. Pipkin, Brownfield, Tex.;, Ethel, Mrs. Garland Dills, Mountain View, Calif.; Alice, Mrs. Calvin Metz, Charlevoux, Mich.; Ester, Mrs. Benny Thrasher, Hutchinson; and Helen, Mrs. Fred Olds of Lyons.
Five sisters and one brother, 28 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive.
