They were living in Lyons, Rice County, Kansas when their daughter, Judith was born in 1943.

They were living in Oakland, Alameda County, California when their son, William was born in 1947.

The 1960 Norfolk, Virginia City Directory revealed Hersle G. Dills was in the United States Navy and he and wife, Ethel L. owned their home at 914 Philpotts Road.

They moved to Florida about 1961.

The public record revealed Hersie G. Dills resided at 823 Vassar Street in Orlando, Florida.

They moved to California about 1979.

The public record of 1991, revealed Hersie G. Dills resided at PO Box 54, Hilmar, California.

Ethel L. Dills December 14, 1922- February 18, 2017
She was born in Kansas to Katie and Henry Schroder, one of 14 siblings. She was a long time resident of Hilmar and passed away after recently being moved to a memory care facility in Turlock. She was an avid bowler, horseshoe player, crossword puzzle wizard, talented gardener and champion pie baker. We shall miss her silly sense of humor that included "chocolate covered ants" and her jumping out from behind doors (even at age 92) to say "boo!". In her last days, she enjoyed being outdoors, feeding the local ducks, and time spent with family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Hersie Garland Dills (1992), and her daughter, Judy Fisher (2016). She is survived by her grandchildren, Donna (Walter John) Geary, of Turlock, Julie (Matt) Zelenski of Palo Alto, Ryan Zelenski of Turlock, Bill (Karen) Dills, and Kate Dills of Orlando, FL., great-grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah, Rein, Kalev, and Emily as well as great-great-grandchildren Allison and AJ. Siblings: Alice Miller, Howard Schroeder, Bethel Schroeder, and her son, Bill (Helen) Dills of Stevinson.

Ethel lived to age 94.
