Sherman Arthur Montgomery is the brother of my grandmother Winnifred Montgomery Foulke. Here is a little information for him.
Sherman Montgomery was the 6th child & 5th son of Henry Worth & Marietta "Mertz" Montgomery. He was raised on farms in Rice County, Kingman County, Gray County, & Coffee County, Kansas. In 1930, he was living with his mother at the age of 26 at 1126 Tyler, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas.
Sherman went to training in Missouri and become a Railroad Multiplex operator for Santa Fe Railroad. He worked for Santa Fe until his retirement.
He married Helen Holt on 19 Apr 1931 in St. Joseph, Missouri. They had three children:
1. Marlene Ruth Montgomery
2. Shirley Ann Montgomery
3. Carroll Sherman Montgomery
He died at the age of 92 in Overland Park, Johnson County, Kansas.
