Marlene R. Keys, 83, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Memorial Services will be April 29th 2017 at 1 PM at St Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, 12251 Antioch Rd Overland Park,Ks. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Thomas Church of Overland Park.

She was born September 11, 1933, to Sherman and Helen (Holt) Montgomery. She grew up in Topeka, KS, graduating from Seaman High School in 1951. She moved to KC MO to work at Hall Brothers in the Art Dept. until 1955. She married Virgil Keys in 1954 and became a stay at home mom. In 1972 she moved to Overland Park, KS and worked at Oak Park Mall for Stix Baer & Fuller and Dillards for 20 years. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Overland Park, KS. She loved butterflies and was a cake decorator for 35 years. In 2004 she moved to Olathe. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, parents, and brother Carroll Montgomery. Survived by 4 children: Karen Burton (David), Laurie Pottorff (Keith), Daniel Keys, Karl Keys, sister Shirley Gillmore, 6 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
