Mrs. Louisa Selvert, aged 90 years, 7 months, and 17 days, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Missouri Burkholder, at NO. 52 Church St., Ephrata, after a brief illness due to apoplexy. She was a remarkably well preserved lady for her age. The deceased was a native of Hinkletown, a daughter of the late Jesse and Annie Harting. She was married twice. Her first husband, William Mentzer, died 34 years ago, and her second husband, George Selvert, died 16 years ago. The following children of the first union survive: Diller Mentzer, of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs. Missouri Burkholder, Ephrata; Mrs. Sophia Stauffer, Ephrata, and Mrs. Clayton Schload, of Hinkletown. There are eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother also survive: Mrs. Phoebe Kemper, Ephrata; Mrs. Julia Overholtzer, Sioux City, Iowa, and Jess Harting, Roanoke, Va. Mrs. Selvert was a member of the Mennonite church.
