Mrs. Ellen (Wirick) Penrod, aged 58, died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Ashley, in Boswell, with whom she had made her home for the last six months. Her husband, Noah Penrod, preceded her to the grave six months ago. Mrs. Penrod is survived by the following children: Mrs. P. C. Flegal, of Uniontown; R. W. Penrod, of Washington, D.C.; R. E. Penrod, of Livingston, Tex.; O. J. Penrod, of Charleston, W.Va., and Mrs. W. H. Ashley, of Boswell.
She also is survived by these brothers and sisters: Ephraim, Albert, Benjamin, Joseph and Jacob Wirick, all of Rummel, and Mrs. Mary Wolford, of Rummel.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Rummel Church of the Brethren. Rev. D. P. Hoover, of Mt. Pleasant officiated at the services. Interment in the Berkey Cemetery.
