Mrs. Sammons was a Christian since an early age and was a devoted and loving mother. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Wolfe City.
Survivors: children, Mrs. Lawrence Thomason, Mrs. Miles Thomason, Mrs. Amber Lee Smith, Chester Sammons, Mrs. Weldon Scott, Mrs. Earl Howard, G.C. Sammons, and Doyal Sammons; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sisters, Mrs. Minnie George, Miss Carrie Ritchey, Mrs. Lela Fletcher.
