Funeral services for Charlie F. Kettler, 71, of Rosenberg, will be held on Monday, March 15, 1999, at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Frs. Dan Warden, Don Schwarting, Wencil Pavlovsky, and Pastor Clarence Lee will officiate the services. Frs. Dan Warden and Don Schwarting will conduct a wake/rosary service on Sunday, March 14, 1999, at 6 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Charlie was born Oct. 19, 1927 in Needville, Texas to Charlie F. Kettler and Emma Hackstedt Kettler. He passed away March 12, 1999 at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post 271, and the VFW Post 3903. He served in the U.S. Army and the Merchant Marines.

He is preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Emma Kettler; brothers, Melvin, Herbert, and Henry Kettler; and sister, Florine Eversole.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Dorothy Havel Kettler of Rosenberg; daughters, Susan Marie Baudoin and husband, Randy, of Rosenberg, Patricia Kay McKenzie and husband, Scott, of Rosenberg; special grandson, Ryan Baudoin of Rosenberg; sisters, Hulda Leissner and husband, Alfred, of Damon, and Viola Kapalski of West Columbia; brother, Alvin Kettler and wife, Melba, of Damon; sister-in-law, Norma Kettler of Needville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Victor Zdunkewicz, John Manthei, Frank Krolczyk Jr., Mike Krolczyk, Johnnie Pustka, and Stephen Haas.

For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to "Keep the Vision Alive" at Holy Rosary Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will begin 2 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 1999, with family receiving friends Sunday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Boulevard (FM 2218 and Highway 59), Rosenberg; (281)341-8800.
