Mrs. mattie Lowery Herin, wife
of Joe M. Herin of the Callison section, died at 8:45 tonight at the Self Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.
Mrs, Herin was born in Edgefield County, daughter of the late
Whitfield Brooks and Anna America McManus Lowry. She was a
member of the McKendree Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; four children, Roscoe A. Herin of Florence, Mrs Elbert Bowie and Mrs Harold Martin of Columbia and Jesse C Herin of Greenwood;
four grandchildren, and two sisters. Mrs. G. B, Matfett and Mrs. Oscar B. Franklin of Greenwood.
Funeral plans are incomplete.

GREENWOOD, Sept. 10 (Special) Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Lowry Herin, wife of Joe M, Herin of Callison, will be held from Bljths Funeral Home at 4 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. A. D. Groft and the Rev. E. W. Gott. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens
Mrs, Herin died. Sunday night at Self Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include her husband; two sons; two daughters; four grandchildren and two sisters.
The body will be at the funeral home and the family_will be the home of her sister, Mrs. Oscar B. Franklin,306 West Laurel Avenue,
She was a talented lady whose life revolved around her family & church.
Mattie was the daughter of Anna America McManus Lowry and Whitfield Brooks Lowry.
