GREENWOOD —Joseph
Monroe Herin, 79, died late
Monday night in a local
hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted
at Blyth Funeral Home
Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. hy Dr.
Rembert Truluck. Burial will
be in Greenwood Memorial
Garden.
Born in Saluda County, he
was the son of the late Jesse
Clarence and Massey Parkman
Herin. He was a member of
Stevens Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, Jesse
C. Herin of Greenwood and
Roscoe A. Herin of Florence;
twp daughters. Mrs. Elbert
Bowie and Mrs. Jonell Martin,
both of Columbia; two
Brothers, Frank Herin of
Greenwood and Garland Herin
of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Mattie
Garren of Greenwood; six
grandchildren and three great -
grandchildren.
Joe liked most animals but horses were his favorite.
He sometime called his grandchildren chaps meaning small children.
