Memorial services for Marvin Leon Blair will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at the Mesa View Mortuary chapel in Delta. Cremation will take place before the services. Burial will be at the Memory Gardens of Delta County.
Mr. Blair of 455 Leon, Delta, died Thursday at the Delta County Memorial Hospital emergency room after a brief illness. He was 54.
Mr. Blair, a finish carpenter for William Price Construction Co.
He was born July 13, 1932, to Frank C. and Louise Blair in Illinois where he spent his childhood. He graduated from high school in Carlinville, Ill.
Mr. Blair moved from Illinois to the Carbondale/Basalt area in 1966 and to Delta in 1982.
He married Elaine Freymann on Sept. 23, 1972, in Basalt. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Terry of Pueblo and Richard of Philo, Calif.; two stepsons, James Holmbeck of El Jebel and John Holmbeck of Huntington Beach, Calif; a stepdaughter, Virginia Hogans of Denver; his mother, of Carlinville; three sisters, Faye Dwyer, Eloise Feathertone and Estalene Beckman, all of Illinois; a brother, Frank Jr. of Illinois; and seven grandchildren.
