HARRISBURG Funeral services for Wilburn J. Cole, 73, of Harrisburg, who died Wednesday, July 11, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial will follow at Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jerry Paul Reddmann, Aaron Luter, John Stuckey, Mike Armstrong, Russ Hannah and Todd Garner.
Officers and board members of the Bank of Trumann and directors of the Arkansas State University Technical Center will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cole was chairman of the board of the Bank of Trumann and had spent his entire life in banking, having also worked at the Bank of Harrisburg and Citizens Bank of Jonesboro. He was a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of Arkansas State University Technical Center, previously Delta Technical Institute in Marked Tree, and was on the St. Bernard's Advisory Board. He was a member of the Trumann Lions Club and the Trumann Fine Arts Council. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Waldenburg.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Stitt) Cole of the home; and two sisters, Ruby Branson of Jonesboro and Pat Hazelwood of West Memphis. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
