Grace Baldwin Mason, a resident of Mt. Airy for 54 years, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the age of 90.

She is survived by her loving husband Andrew W. Mason of 68 years; 3 sons Michael (Judy), Gregg (Christine) and Brian (Juda); 9 grandchildren Nicole, Michelle, Michael, Drew, Gregory, Margo, Helen, Jacob, Nicholas; 2 great-grandchildren Andrew and Natasha. And her sisters Connie, Mary, Jan Lee, Patsy and brother Harold.

Grace was the school secretary at Mt. Airy Middle School from 1966 to 1997, when she retired at age 75. She was active in the Mt. Airy Garden Club, Ki-Wives and served many years as secretary of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

The family wishes to express special gratitude to Grace's long-time friend Joan Collins who visited and cared for her faithfully during her last couple of years at Lorien Assisted Living facility.

Visitation is Monday, April 16 from 4:00 - 6:00pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Boulevard in Mt. Airy.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 17 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (the original small church) at 1125 St. Michael's Road, Mt. Airy with the Rev. Michael Ruane officiating.

Interment will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 18 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Richmond, VA where Grace was born, raised and married. Donations may be made in her memory to Mt. Airy American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
