Constance Mae ‘Dollbaby’ Baldwin Montgomery, 92, stepped into eternity on Memorial Day, May 30th, 2016 in Fleming Island, Florida. She had lived in Florida since 1954, but her heart and soul was always in her birthplace, Richmond, VA.

She was a true southern lady, whose sweetest gesture was gently kissing the hands of other ladies, much to their delight. She was a 1941 graduate of John Marshall High School. A good wife and mother, artistic, poetic, seamstress and retired from retail sales at Belk in 1994. She was of the Presbyterian faith. It was God’s blessing that her long illness shielded her from the harsh reality that our Nation is losing the moral values that her Greatest Generation were built on.

She was predeceased by her parents, Kearney and Katherine Akers Baldwin, her ex-husband Leon Montgomery, son Thomas Montgomery, brother Sonny Baldwin, sisters Grace Mason and Patricia McCoy. She is survived by her daughter, Lynda (Alan) Johnson of Green Cove Springs, Florida. Brother, Harold (Jacqueline) Baldwin and sisters, Mary Phillips and Jan Lee (Earl) Estes.

Final arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery and Funeral Home, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Her final resting place will be in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Richmond, VA. No services are planned in Richmond.
