Mrs Maude E Shaver, 93, of State Center, did Thursday at the Marshall County Care Facility.

Born November 18, 1882 at Worthington, Minnesota she was the daughter of Wilson and Elizann Weiler Ager. She grew to womanhood in the area of her birth and attended the schools there and at Mankato State College, after which she taught schools in Minnesota.

On August 24, 1917 she was married to Guy Shaver at Allison. They lived in Winner, South Dakota before moving to State Center in 1935 where they since made their home. Mr Shaver died in 1974.

Membership was held by her in the First Methodist Church of State Center where services will be held Saturday at 10L30 am with the Rev L L Musser in charge. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs Shaver was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, eight brothers and a sister.

Surviving are two sons, Berwin and Herbert Shaver, both of Marshalltown and a daughter, Mrs Joseph (Gloria) Beber of Omaha, Nebraska, as well as six grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, G W Ager of Kenewick, Washington and one sister, Mrs Jesse Broms, Portland, Orgegon.
